St. Pius X - The Golden Lions volleyball team started their 2024 season with a split between Brookwood and Druid Hills.

In Game 1, Pius took on the Broncos from Brookwood. The Golden Lions lost the first set 25-18, took the second set 25-21, and lost the last set 15-9. Sophomore Sila Llata led the offense with 7 kills and only 3 errors. Defensively, Freshman Mali Nyankori led the team with 7 blocks and Senior Kiki Diaz led with 8 digs.

Pius had better fortunes in Game 2, as they took on the Druid Hills Red Devils. The Golden Lions won set 1, 25-22, and set 2, 25-21. Sila Llata led the team with 7 kills and 2 errors. Mali Nyankori had 2 blocks, and Sophomore Andrea Gonzalez produced 9 digs.

St. Pius begins the season with a 1-1 record. They will play Cherokee Bluff and Forsyth Central on August 15 at Forsyth Central.
