The Tampa Bay Rays promoted Chandler Simpson '19 on Saturday and he made his Major League debut today, Sunday, April 19. Batting lead-off and playing center field for the Rays, Simpson had an RBI double to help the Rays rally in the bottom of the 9th inning and go on to win the game over the New York Yankees. 

Simpson's family was in attendance, including his mom, St. Pius X Principal Dr. Edye Simpson.
