Tonight at Spellman Field on Senior Night, the Golden Lions pulled out a 9-2 victory over the Northview Titans. The bottom of the 6th inning started with the Lions trailing the Titans 2-1, but the inning ended with a 9-2 St. Pius X lead that would hold.
JP Apgar '26 broke the game open with a grand slam.
Aidan Brown '27 and
Easton Bailey '26 each had two hits in the game.
Logan Lanier '27 provided a quality start and four relief pitchers kept the game in hand (
Logan Picheta '26,
Andrew Kazmer '26,
Gavin Liu '26 and
Connor Tysver '28).
The Golden Lions finish the regular season as Region 5-AAAA runner-up and will host the first round of the state playoffs at Spellman Field (April 22-23).
