The Golden Lions (1-2) defeated the Bleckley County Royals (2-1) on Saturday evening. The offense was led by Asher McConnell '27 (3-4, 1 R, 1 2B) and Jonnie Chizzolin '26 (1-2, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 1 HR). With the game tied at 3 in the top of the 5th inning, Chizzolin homered to left field, scoring pinch runner Easton Bailey '26 to give the team a 5-3 lead that they would hold. 

Starting pitcher Logan Lanier '27 (5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) earned the win and Logan Picheta '26 (2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO) picked up the save.

The Golden Lions return home to Spellman Field for a three game home stand that starts on Thursday, February 19 at 6:00 p.m. vs. Riverwood.
