The Golden Lions defeated the Lovett Lions 5-3 on Friday, February 14 at Lovett School. 

Freshmen Connor Tysver '28 (2-3, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 HR) and Andrew Biggers '28 (2-3, 3 RBI, 1 triple) provided the offensive spark for the team. 

Colton Sumpter '27 (3 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO) provided a quality start, and relievers Will Freeman '25 (3 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO) and Bobby Frierson '27 (1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO) closed out the game.
