All in the Family: The Golden Lion Football Weicks (Marc '20, Teddy '26, Brian & Charles '23) visited Tulane star Jack Tchienchou '23 for their win over Memphis this season.

St. Pius X Catholic High School graduate Jack Tchienchou ‘23 became just the second Golden Lion alumnus to play in a College Football Playoff (CFP) game when the #11 Tulane Green Wave visited #6 Ole Miss. Although the Green Wave were beaten 41-10, Tchienchou joined Alabama's Geno Smith '12 who played in three.
Despite the loss, Tchienchou had 6 tackles, which tracks with the season he's had. The redshirt sophomore safety's Tulane team won their second straight American Conference title, and Tchienchou was named to the conference first-team.

In that conference title clash with North Texas, Tchienchou earned Most Outstanding Player of the Championship Game, where he had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a interception, is the first Tulane player in the same game with all three since Trent Mackey in 2010 against Rice.

Earlier this year, members of the Weick family traveled to Memphis to see Jack play in a thrilling 38-32 road win over the Tigers, where Jack had a crucial interception. All three sons of Brian and Amy Weick played football for St. Pius X, middle son Charles was a teammate of Tchienchou's. At PiHi, Tchienchou was thrice named to first-team All-State by both the AJC and GACA.
