Let’s play some flag football!
Coach Chad Garrison and the St. Pius X Junior Lions Flag Football League are excited to offer a Flag Football program for the Fall of 2025. As in past seasons, the number of participants will be limited so it is important to sign up as soon as possible!
The program is for rising Kindergarten through 5th graders (as of the Fall of '25) and is intended to be a fun way to introduce players to football without the pads and contact. We will utilize a fast paced, 5-against-5 or 6-against-6 format where all positions are eligible to handle the ball. The objective of the program is to give players experience in all the skill positions. The only offensive positions in this league are quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, and centers.
Program Schedule
Players will be grouped by grades, with one or two grades playing together in the same league.
It’s a 9-week program beginning August 24th (Skills Evaluation & Draft) and seven (7) game dates from September 7th through October 26th (Game Dates: September 7, 14, 21, 28, October 5, 19, 26, (Last game is "Under the Lights")
The program is on Sunday afternoons only with no weekday practice requirement. Your child will have a brief practice and a game from 1:00-2:30 PM or 2:30-4:00 PM. A final complete schedule will be provided after the draft.

Mark your calendars now for another fun-filled “Sunday afternoons only” season coming this fall! Coach Chad Garrison and the St. Pius X Junior Golden Lions organization are excited to offer a Flag Football program for the fall of 2025. The Jr. Lions program is a great venue for the child to learn the game of football in a safe and fun environment.
This program is a Sunday afternoon only league with no weekday practice times. The league’s objective is to give your child a fun, non-contact introduction to football allowing each team member to play all positions. The program is open for rising Kindergarten through 5th graders and is is intended to be a fun way to introduce players to football without pads or contact. We will utilize a fast paced, 5-against-5 or 6-against-6 format where all positions are eligible to handle the ball.
All games (with short practice sessions just prior to game time) will be held at the St. Pius football field behind the high school.
