St. Pius X - The Golden Lions began region play with a complete 47-0 victory over Northview. Pius improves their record to 2-1, 1-0 in region. The Titans fall to 0-3, 0-1.

Senior Luke Pinson put the Golden Lions ahead with a 1 yard TD run with 9:41 to go in the 1st Quarter. After the defense stopped Northview on 7 plays and a punt, Senior Jack Breen found the end zone on a 23 yard run with 4:00 to go in the 1st. 

The 2nd Quarter was all St. Pius X. Luke Pinson scored his second TD of the game with 8 seconds into the quarter. A Titan turnover gave the Golden Lions the ball back at the Northview 22. Senior QB Colin Crosby scored on a 12 yard keeper with 9:32 to go in the half. Pius still wasn't done with the scoring, as Juniors Scott Ivey (12 yard run) and Dexter Mosley(15 yard run) both found the end zone at the 4:55 and 1:46 mark. St. Pius X took a 41-0 lead into the locker room. Senior Will Freeman completed the offensive night with a 1 yard run in the 3rd Quarter.

Scott Ivey led the ground game with 47 yards. Colin Crosby was 3-5 for 38 yards in the air. Pius had 360 yards of total offense, with 322 coming on the ground. The Titans were only able to muster 77 yards of total offense.

The Golden Lions return to action on September 13 as they take on region foe Druid Hills. The game will be at 7:30 PM at George B. Maloof Stadium. Northview will play at Marist.
