Today at Spellman Field, the Golden Lions beat the East Forsyth Broncos 2-1 in extra innings in the opening game of the second round of the GHSA 4A State Playoffs.

Andrew Biggers '28 drove in Archer Love '25 on a line drive single in the bottom of the 9th inning to give St. Pius X the victory.

Starting pitcher Colton Sumpter '27 pitched a 8 great innings, scattering 7 hits, allowing 1 run, while striking out 5. William Edwards '25 pitched a scoreless 9th inning to earn the win.
