The Golden Lions Flag Football team won a pair of games last night at George B. Maloof Stadium to move on to the Quarterfinals of the
GHSA D4 State Tournament.
In the round 1 game, St. Pius X defeated the Rockmart Yellow Jackets 40-0. In the 2nd round contest, the Golden Lions beat the Banneker Trojans 34-0.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be held at Milton High School on Monday, December 8th.
Quarterfinals
- Game 1: 5:30 p.m. East Coweta (18-2) [#2 Area 3-D4] vs. Johns Creek (9-10-1) [#4 Area 7-D4]
- Game 2: 6:30 p.m. St. Pius X (16-6) [#1 Area 6-D4] vs. Milton (19-3) [#1 Area 7-D4]
Semifinals
- 7:30 p.m. Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner
The winner of the last game will advance to the state championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
