SANDY SPRINGS -- The St. Pius X Catholic High School flag football team were crowned Area Champions after defeating rival Pace Academy 12-7 at the Weber School in Sandy Springs. 
The title was the third in the four seasons since the program began, and Pihi's success over Pace meant the Knights will not take home an area title for the first time in the five years since flag football has been recognized as an official GHSA sport.
Junior quarterback Sofia Pihera threw two touchdown passes, one to senior Eva Russell, and one to junior Natalie Iselin.
