Coach McClay has been coaching at St. Pius X since 2009 and has been the head boys coach for all of those years. He has coached the boys to 9 state cross-country titles and 3 state runner ups. He is also the head girls cross country coach as well as the boys and girls track coach where he has led the boys to 4 state track titles, the girls to 2 state track runners up, and the girls xc team to 3 state titles and 3 runner ups. He graduated from Dacula High School after running cross country for three years and track for two under Andy Christie. He then went on to run at the collegiate level for Berry College. While at Berry he raced in 7 National Championship races in Cross Country and track. He is married to Katie McClay and together they both continue to run races ranging from 5k to the marathon, and have each completed an Ironman Triathlon. They have two sons, Ashton and Jordan, who are both full of energy.
