The Golden Lions (8-7) defeated the Northside Patriots (13-5) 9-1 tonight in the first game of the Harris County Invitational at the Columbus South Commons Softball Complex. The win was the third in a row for St. Pius X.

Annabel Terry '29 earned the win by pitching a complete game (5 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 8 SO).

Nine different players had hits in the game - Emery Harris '29, Peyton Savincki '30, Maya McDaniel '27, Molly McGee '29, Mary Durieux '27, Madeline Kapp '27, Merrit Gorman '27 and Torie Duva '29.

The Golden Lions will play two games on Saturday, 11:00 AM vs. Ware County and 1:00 PM vs. Northgate, to complete the tournament.
