The Golden Lions softball season came to an end on Monday, October 20th in the second round of the state playoffs with 6-0 and 7-4 losses to the Kell Longhorns (ranked 4th in AAAA MaxPreps rankings).

This season was the third straight year the Golden Lions advanced to the state playoffs. The team finished with a 19-16 record and runner-up in region 5-AAAA.
