Columbus, GA - The St. Pius X softball team had a successful road trip to Columbus, as the Golden Lions defeated Haralson and Taylor County.
Fresh off of four straight region wins, Pius continued their winning ways as they swept both games in Columbus. In Game 1, the Golden Lions defeated the Haralson Raiders 8-2. Junior
Ella Hall led the offense, scoring three runs while going 3-4 at the plate. Junior
Maggie Laba gave up just one earned run off four hits.
Game 2 saw the Golden Lions take on the Taylor County Vikings. Behind Senior
Piper Grabow, the Golden Lions earned the 7-4 victory. Grabow pitched 5 innings and didn't allow an earned run. Sophomore
Megan Snipes led the offense with a 3-3 day at the plate, including a home run, double, and 4 RBI.
St. Pius X will return to action on September 10, as they host Druid Hills in a region game. First pitch will be at 5:30 PM at Spellman Field
