St. Pius X - The Golden Lions lost to arch rival Marist 10-2 on Tuesday in the region opener, dropping their season record to 1-1, 0-1 in the region. Marist improved to 3-0, 1-0 in the region.

St. Pius X saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Senior Sadie Flynn, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Senior Sarah Beth Frierson took the loss, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits.

The Golden Lions return to action on August 14 as they take on Wesleyan. The game will begin at 6:00 PM from Wesleyan.
