The Golden Lions completed the sweep of today's doubleheader vs. the Lithonia Bulldogs by winning the second game 15-0.
Loraley Messick '28 (1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 SO, 0 BB) and
Sophia Walker '26 (2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 5 SO, 0 BB) combined for the shutout.
Five Golden Lions had hits in the game:
Maya McDaniel '27 (1 double),
Mary Durieux '27 (2 singles),
Maggie Maloney '26 (1 single),
Regan Waters '26 (3 doubles) and
Loraley Messick '28 (1 double).
Next up for the team is the Harris County Invitational at the South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus. The Golden Lions will play two games on Friday, September 5th and two more on Saturday, September 6th.
